Noreen Stonor Drexel Education Awards
Noreen Stonor Drexel sparked the founding of the Newport Public Education Foundation in 1991 and served as a special advisor to the board of trustees, a position she held for 22 years until her death in 2012. In recognition of her service, our annual awards are named in her honor. Selected annually, the Noreen Stonor Drexel Education Awards honor individuals and organizations that have significantly contributed to the students of Newport’s public schools.
